Newly remodeled airport looks fantastic ! Seems to be more flights too ... well done!
The Delta counter agents have incorrect information and they are happy to share it including telling me the boarding gate closes 30 minutes before take off when in fact the boarding closes 10 minutes prior while baggage check closes 30 minutes prior to to take off. Now I'm sitting here alone because they don't understand how their company actually works...
Myrtle Beach Airport is the best airport I have ever been in. The airport is 2 miles from the beach. The car rental is 200 feet from the airport itself. The rental parking lot is right there too. They even have a pet relief area with a fire hydrant. Each wall and support beam has several power outlets and USB ports. I wish all airports were this good.
I am grateful for this airport and the services it provides.
It's a bit hard to rate an airport collectively, being so diverse and compartmentalized; but, for what it's worth, my experiences here have been generally positive, with a clean facility and friendly staff. Also, the atmosphere isn't so rushed and hectic (as far as airports go, at least). To date, I've had no problems at the MB AP, and I look forward to continue to visit in the future.
Airport itself is great! Well laid out,clean and efficient. However we arrived at 5:50 A.M..No parking lot lots on at all..Rental car return not lit either..Navigating by phone flashlight! We were shocked by this...
