We just purchased two homes from hanco in the diamond . One for me and my wife and one for my elderly mother. Kirk and Bryan really went out the way to answer all of our quiestions and was very polite and courteous. I come from a family of builders and I know first hand the struggle of coordinating subs and dealing with permitting etc. To my surprise both of our homes were done on time and the couple small issues we had after we moved in was fixed and taken care of. I purchased my first home from hanco construction and I made a mistake. This company doesn't hold up their one year fix. I have called numerous of times and nothing has been done. I would tell anyone not to purchase a home this company. Very poor quality homes.
I've done work with hanco for several years he's one of the best paying contractors I do work for and the work he has done for me is high quality . I Would recommend them to anyone.
The painting was done poorly, which we paid extra. If you try to wash the wall, the paint comes off. The drywall is so thin, it crumbles if you try to hang a picture. The front door is not hung correctly and the paint used on the front door smells like plastic burning when the sun hits it. The concrete patio, pad, front porch and driveway was poured and not smoothed and the Driveway has already cracked. The yard was not levelled and the sod not layed correctly, so many holes and ruts, you could break an ankle. We had several items on our walk through punch list, none were done. He has a house contract that is borderline illegal. He is not responsible for anything after you close. After closing, you cannot get the keys to the house until after all money and paperwork has cleared. Never heard of this. We waited 2 days to get into the house. I would never recommend this builder, he is a liar and a cheat. Wished we knew before we signed the contract. He has refused to repair any items on the 11 month maintenance form, which are major items. We have reported him to the Better Business Bureau.
They did a piss poor job on the carpets for our stairs, the rails on the stairs do not match, the door knobs around the house do not match, the locks on the front door and garage door do not close all the way, the back door does not latch close unless you really force it, the dryer electric outlet did not work, and they are in no rush to fix their screw ups.
