Biscuits and gravy: Another ok item. Biscuits turned to paste in your mouth. Gravy was very thick.

Cost was on the high side (but that's what you get for a tourist trap at Broadway). Total for 4 people including tip was about $85. Breakfast is the cheapest option of breakfast/lunch/dinner. Add about $10 for lunch and probably $20 for dinner to our cost.

Country fried potatoes: Seasoned ok, a little on the dry side for my taste.

Great food in a comfortable atmosphere. We went off peak hours for lunch and it was perfect.

Great place to eat lunch. Big family style portions.

Breakfast casserole: Casserole of eggs, meats, and potatoes. Just ok. I would have liked more eggs.

Ooey Gooey Pancakes: I'm not a huge pancake person.. I didn't even try them. Family said they were good though.

Chicken and waffels: Chicken was dry (common complaint in the reviews), waffles were cold. I thought C&W usually came with drizzled honey but not these. Just dry fried tenders and cold waffles.

Big price tourist restaurant, just ok food.

Applewood smoked center cut bacon: Good. Actually, maybe too thick. Gives your mouth a good workout to chew.

Not sure if I'll be back. It's certainly a splurge for the atmosphere.

Be forewarned, the service is family style. You choose a number of items from the menu (different number based on time of day) and the wait staff keeps bringing more food if you run out. The first kicker is that you end up in a family negotiation for what items you get. Unless everyone agrees, you'll end up with an item you don't like or missing out an item you wanted to try. I can see if it was busy how this system would tax the wait staff but for our breakfast items were refilled almost immediately when needed.

What was good was amazing. Like if two Black Panther Party members went in here and tried the food they'd be like "That old racist lady sure can cook!" So the "best fried chicken ever" ballsy statement to make on your menu. It was not... it was dry and kinda greasy. The mac and cheese left something to be desired... however as a disclaimer I don't really like most home made mac and cheese. The mashed potatoes, I don't know what they do to those things but heaven probably has somebody stop by here for a to go order. The creamed corn was awesome.... CREAMED CORN was awesome... bet you never thought you'd read that statement. The catfish was so good I forgot about the tartar sauce and didn't even think to look for malt vinegar. It had that much flavor and I didn't even think I'd like catfish. For dessert we had the banana pudding... I expected it to be the best ever, but Bestfood Cafeteria in Siler City NC put it to shame. Not to say it was bad by a long shot, it was very good, I've just had better. The price is good given that the entree and side dishes are unlimited and the biscuity/pastry thing that comes out before the meal was better than anything else I'd eaten in all of Myrtle beach. The one complaint I might have and its not REALLY a complaint just something that struck me as odd. From the hostess to the waitress everyone says "Hey Y'all" or Bye Y'all" which is fine, I'm (mostly)from the south, I love the south and Myrtle Beach is a very southern beach. Most of the people who work there are probably legitimately southern and yet the forced way in which "Hey Y'all" is delivered and the instinct that you know that somewhere is a corporate handbook that dictates you must say "Hey Y'all" and that its all part of "Branding" makes it feel creepy and fake. I don't think "Hey Y'all" should ever be used as branding, but I get it. This is probably the most unique meal you'll have at Myrtle Beach.

My family attended for breakfast. Unlike the stories for lunch and dinner, we didn't have any wait and was seated immediately. The decor was nice and the restaurant was clean (recently opened). and the wait staff was very quick and nice.

I'll run down the items we had:
