They have some of the nicest facilities I've seen in any state park in the country. The restrooms we're clean and well lit, the roads were smooth, the gift shops were well stocked/staffed, the staff was friendly, and the campgrounds we're quiet and well organized.
Well maintained trails and campsites. Clean restrooms. Nice playgrounds and multiple beach accesses. We have been coming here for years, and all these things stay true. It's a great place for making family memories
Camping during the winter was so peaceful because crowds are nonexistent.
My husband and I used the RV camping area over the Christmas holidays.. The rangers and other staff were friendly and helpful. The store was well stocked and convenient to the camp sites.

Such a great place, located right in the heart of the Grand Strand. Great affordable sites for camping and RV. Shelters for rent. Really affordable pricing. Very well maintained and patrolled. I have been here many times and will continue to return.
I go here every summer with my whole family. We camp so we're on the beach every day! It's fairly quiet and the amenities aren't bad. My son -3- loves the fishing pier and we love the locals. Several have let us pet their catch and gave us tops on cooking them.
Fishing from the pier was pretty good, and seeing dolphins right off the beach was a treat.
