---Emailed to check on the availability of a rental property - property manager was very short and rude in her responses. The property we were inquiring about is in a development where we would like to purchase a unit in a few years and then use the same rental management company to rent it for us (we have other property in the area). I would NEVER use this rental management company as an owner based on how rudely we were responded to when inquiring about the property!
Penny is the greatest thing since sliced break. Ask for her when you go :) No complaints with Chicora
Update to this review: Owner of company called me to apologize and we had a great conversation. My husband and I have decided to purchase rather than lease/purchase later and are using another realtor to look for a potential property in that neighborhood but if we decided to place it in a vacation rental program I would give Chicora a shot at leasing it for us based on her quick and professional response.
Had a wonderful experience at Chicora Rentals! Penny was very attentive and hospitable. Would definitely recommend going through the company and asking for Penny.

I would not recommend anyone using this company. After they found someone to rent our home we were given a checklist of things to get corrected BEFORE they could move in. We spent the entire weekend doing all of the things required which took time and money. Then to be told on Monday that the person backed out of the agreement, which wasn't there fault, but after trying to find another renter for over a month we finally decided to take it off the market for rent and sell the home. We then received a $150.00 bill from Chicora for terminating the agreement. I tried to explain I spent way more than $150.00 to do the punch list they gave me and I felt they should waive the $150.00 since they never found us a renter. They disagreed and then sent us a letter saying if we didn't pay the $150.00 they would put it on our credit report. I understand everyone is in the business to make money, but there is always a place for common sense and customer service.
To whom it may concern, I have been using Chicora to rent out my property for over 10 years now and just recently we have been working with Erin Smith. Her customer service has been outstanding and she has gone way over and above for us. She has brought us several options for new clients and has been extremely helpful during the entire process. We couldn't be any happier and hope she will continue to be our main contact moving forward for the next several years>
