Everything about this school was great. The instructors are top notch and they really care about giving everyone a great experience. Ted is a great teacher and makes learning the game easy for everyone. We had people in our class that had never played the game and some that have played for years, and all of the instructors did a great job of tailoring their approach based upon the individual.

100% honest review. If your new to golf and don't wanna pay a lot to get started then this school is probably where ya wanna be. If your a seasoned player and a veteran of the game you might wanna pass. I was a head pro for 12 years and played all my life. Moved to Myrtle and was Always curious about Golf Machine So that's the reason I came to the school cause Ted is an authorized instructor of The golf machine. Ted gives good instruction and is very knowledgeable this much is true. However, Problem is after his morning talk he is never really seen again UNLESS he is trying to sell you his own brand of clubs. Which I'm sorry to say while little less than new name brand clubs they are very low end cheap clubs that are worth way less than what he sells them for. 3-4 hrs of the Of the 3 day school are directly designed to set you up for and pressure you into buying his clubs. It easy to see where Ted's main focus is since the school is the "most affordable" golf school in the country. When you express that your not interested he and Eddie become cold towards you after that and the nice guy act disappears. The driving range was very nice and we hit on grass but the golf balls are awful not a dimple on 8 out 10 balls you hit. The training aids are very old and broken down as well. And sorry to say none of the teachers actually dress or look like golf pros I see and have worked with at other clubs. Maybe it's a beach thing but IMHO not very professional to teach in dirty tennis shoes and shorts. If your a PGA pro like I was you never dress like that. I know it's hot down here but it's part of tradition and respect for the game and the Job. The technology is old and outdated and there was no audio on my swing CD when I got home either. Personally I have always judge teachers on their own ability to hit a golf ball....... i mean if you can hit good shots why would I listen to your instruction. Well I never saw TEd swing a club even when asked he gave a weak excuse. Eddie hit drivers on the 3rd day and sorry to say my own swing is much better and I hit 20 yards farther easy. He Hit balls on his knees and in a chair but honestly who cares. It was like he was trying to show off and do a trick shot demo instead of teach lol. Mark made horrible jokes and was a little handsy with my wife too. Eddie did short game also but he never hardly let students try and chip and stopped us every 20 seconds demanding our attention as if we are In Grade school. Stephanie was nice and helped my wife a lot but her swing analysis was super fast cause she had to push us on to the next station. Brian who booked our package was in Short Nice on the phone but Very Rude in person. When asked a question about our playing package he gave a huge sigh as if he was so Inconvenienced to have to get out of his chair and help us. He was nice on the phone but once he had our deposit that was the end of his job I guess anything else was a bother for him. The inside of the school is well just Dirty, outdated and little bit of unpleasant smell from the bathrooms. There are no inside hitting bays if it rains which it did on our second day. It was quickly obvious there was no plan by Ted and his staff if it rained....at all. We tried another school a few months later down at True Blue Caledonia with a much more pleasant experience. While Ted instruction is good the school it's self fails in all other areas. I guess you get what you pay for and Affordable rarely means good quality. Sorry to say classic swing was no different. Even though the school is separate from the Legends golf resort, the staff at Legends In The pro shop is some the worst customer service I ever encountered at a golf course. To conclude Ted banks on newcomers to the game with a low school price to get you I. The door give pretty good instruction but the main goal is to sell you his clubs. So Get your fitting info then buy off eBay. If you a beginner the school is OK for what you Pay. Serious players looking for high professionalism look elsewhere.

Was desperate, my driver had become a complete mystery. Could not find a fix. Between rounds I grabbed a one hour lesson with Ted. Amazing lesson, with the best swing tip I have ever heard. Playing sooo much better now, my driver and I are back on speaking terms and the rest of my game also improved. Planning on going back soon for a full three day school!! Thank you Ted.

If you're looking for a great golf school this is the one for you. You'll have a great time and learn a lot, no matter where you're at with your game. I highly recommend these guys! I'll definitely be going back at for the scoring class.

Very disappointed flew to myrtle for vacation and golf school. Vacation in myrtle was fine but.... The Classic Swing Golf school was a merely a suckering sales tactic to sell me some cheap clubs. Which made sense cause everything about this place was cheap and not worth my money. Ted was nice till i overheard him making fun of wife's swing with his other instructors. I was outside of the class and when he turned the corner and we met eyes he knew right then he was wrong for what i heard but turned ashamed and walked outside. Very disappointing!

I just completed a three day course at the Classic Swing Golf School. What a phenomenal experience! I have been playing for a little less than a year, and I have to admit I was a little concerned about attending a school like this and feeling I was in over my head. Ted is not only a truly gifted instructor, but also a very down to earth genuine nice guy. He loves the game and loves teaching, and that comes through right from the beginning. The value for the cost is exceptional, and I was blown away by his ability to not only provide an enormous amount of complex information, but also in his ability to communicate in such a way that you can actually absorb the info without feeling overwhelmed. The improvement to my game was immediate, and I am confident after completing the school I now have the tools to continue to improve my game which will provide much more fun and enjoyment. It was an absolutely amazing experience. I will be back. Thank you Ted!
