What is as bad as the facility being very small and poorly equipped is having to wait while very young children play on the machines. I asked an employee why they allow children to play with the equipment; he told me their policy allows children as young as twelve years old to use the weights and machines. I pointed out that some of the kids looked like they were eight years old or younger; he responded, "we don't card the kids." Not only can this attitude put children at risk of injury, it is also disrespectful to paying members.

While some gyms have an attached childcare facility, this gym combines adult fitness and childcare in the same space. If you're vacationing and want to bring your small children with you to the gym, this is the perfect place for you. For the rest of us, it is extremely frustrating to waste time waiting while children climb and play on equipment you thought was meant for exercise.
