Things to know: it's best to wear close toe shoes...but they do have shoes for you if you forget to wear them.
It was neat, but definitely not worth the money if you don’t have kids. I had been wanting to go for years, so my husband and so went yesterday, you have to pay for everything in the building, whether you want to do it or not. I was not interested in the laser tag or rope course, but still had to pay $60.00, which would have been alright, but we were there for 30 minutes and had to leave because everyone there (not the employees) were just extremely rude and not wanting to make their kids behave. We went back hours later and spent a total of maybe an hour finishing up. There’s some cool stuff, but most of it consists of cheesy “attractions” like tic tac toe and 20 Questions. I will never waste my money there again to be honest.
I was truly blown away. To give some context, Im a 26 year old with no kids. And as an adult, this place was a blast. It was like taking the best thing from 200 science museums, and shoving them into one building. And unlike most science museums, all the exhibits actually worked! Which is always a huge disappointment at other places. The ropes course is quiet a bit of fun, and so is the laser tag.
Cons: nail bed was not working nor we SEVERAL attractions. Also rides were weight restricted and they had scales to weigh you with.
Outside there is a zipline which is good for beginners because it goes straight across the water at a slow pace. An attendant is on each side to help you when you cross and make sure you are hooked up correctly. It is on the Boardwalk, so there are many other places to walk around and visit.
Pros: THIS PLACE IS SOOOOO AWESOME!!!! do yourself a favor and take your family. expect to spend 8 hours. We spent 5 and did not do everything.
Wonder Works is a fun place that has something for everyone. It is an interactive learning environment with too many things to list, but each section had hands on learning. There were many floors of entertainment such as laser tag, indoors rope course, and interactive virtual sports screen to play sporting games.
Family hits: Piano playing, bubble making, roller coaster simulator, rope course, shadow maker, and 3D artwork.
Bought on Groupon to just try the place out, and will be going back for sure. The kids loved all the hands on exhibits, and the indoor rope course is not for the faint of heart :) I would say this place is great for the whole family, as my kids are 3 & 7 and loved it! They are already asking to go back.
