Great place and staff very courteous.
A very Americanized Mexican restaurant. They offer a gluten menu which is a plus. The drinks were water down. The food had a good taste to except out waitress messed up twice. Once by placing the fajita plate for me rather than the fajita tacos I asked for. When my wife asked if there was cheese in her meal they told her no. It is a good thing that she is only mildly allergic.

Used to be one of our favorite spots in Myrtle Beach but they recently changed their menu. We used to love one of their pasta dishes. It was very similar to a Chicken Scampi offered at other restaurants. They recently took majority of their pasta dishes off.
Horrible. Girlfriend and I Went for a quick drink and appetizer before heading to the mall. We realized we were just in time for Happy Hour so we decided to take advantage of the Margaritas and Three Dip appetizer. Guacamole had huge chucks of onion, and the cheese dip you can tell was squeezed out of a packet. It was Disgusting BUT what really made this experience worse was we waited a good 30 minutes for 2 margaritas by the time we got our second round we were ready to leave. Went to finish up and found a BUG in my drink and the drink tasted like pure margarita mix with nothing else in it. THEN he charged us full price for the second round instead of Happy Hour pricing (it was still within happy
I really wanted to add that my family and I kept coming to Abuelo's since the very first day we discovered it. We had some very bad experiences in other places in the area. Abuelo's has been our dining table away from home for lunch and dinner. I am a very picky eater also tough on hygene and great customer service. I couldn't find another place too match Abuelo's. I would give you five stars, but allow me to be modest in that regard.
Unbelievably bad experience. The bar area smelled so badly of sewage that our daughter was gagging- the server moved us to a table in main area where the smell was less strong but still coming out of the kitchen. The table we were seated at was dirty and the floor covered in chips and salsa - never was cleaned up despite our request to have it sweeped from under our feet. Two sets of familys were ordered, served and FINISHED their meals before ours arrived. One of our meals was completely not what was ordered and had to be remade. Drinks were basic and expensive and happy hour prices were not honored for the full check. We couldn't wait to pay and leave and we will NEVER be back. I will say the waitress was remarkably cheerful despite the awfulness she has to work with. That is the ONLY good thing about our dinner. This restaurant needs a complete overhaul!
Please keep it up. We will never forget that place when we go back home. You guys made our stay in Myrtle Beach, SC worth it.
