Excellent food and service. We had 14 in our group ages 4 to 63 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Fried chicken, shrimp and grits, fish and chicken livers were amazing. Will most definitely be back! Highly recommend for soul food/home cooking.
Big Mike's is an authentic Lowcountry soul food restaurant and I never miss going when I'm in Myrtle Beach. I am very partial to the pork chops and authentic collard greens. The inside is exactly what you expect from this type of restaurant. Nothing flashy but great food, great service. Definitely a locals favorite
While on our honeymoon my husband and I decided to stop here for lunch. I read the reviews and we decided it was at least worth the stop. We LOVED everything about this place from the friendly staff to the hone setting to the food. Reasonable prices and a WHOLE LOT OF FOOD on our plate. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for. We highly recommend this place and I can't wait to return.
Perfect! Tasty, not too salty, veggies cooked just right. Collard greens we're indescribably delicious. Macaroni and cheese- fantastic! Great service and prices. Senior meal $7.99. Others start at $10.99 with extra meat and three sides. Close to the beach. Best meal that we had at Myrtle Beach.
Great hospitality and pretty good soul food. The collards were well prepared and well seasoned. The fried seafood was not great but enjoyed the homemade Cole slaw none the less . The cornbread was a treat as were the mashed potatoes . My meatloaf lacked the kind of seasoning that would made it a standout. The peach cobbler however was quiet good. As you can see , Big Mike received 4 stars. P.S. Renee did a terrific job.
