Although we had a great experience at this hotel for the most part, Its unlikely we'll stay here again. I will keep searching for another reasonably priced condo style hotel in Myrtle Beach.
The big downside for me with this hotel was the lack of a poolside restaurant. I understand they have restaurants in the sister hotels but this was big negative as we typically went back up to our room for lunch. I also found the pools to be quite small and nothing really special.
Loved the fact that they assist you with unloading and loading your vehicle when you arrive and depart. It takes away the aggravation of hauling bags to and from the room. They also offered valet parking, $15/day, but I could see how it would be worth paying that for some people since the parking garage is across the street. Also, staff was friendly and courteous during our stay. The rooms were neat and clean.
We stayed at the Anderson Ocean Club and Resort in August and it was for the most part a really good experience. The hotel is really clean and the rooms are spacious. I was prepared (based on other reviews) for the push to use Valet. I was to keen on the idea but it turned out to be a really good. The parking lot was across the street so having the Valet pickup and drop the car was really helpful.
Well appointed room. Newly renovated. Ocean front so great views. Design flaw in kitchen. Silverware in upper cabinet in trays. Not easy to quickly get silverware without having to remove the trays from the cabinet. Also great difficulty reaching glasses in the cabinet. Both due to the positioning of the corner sink and not extending the countertops.
Concierge service, valet, security and check in were all great. Room was enormous. Kitchen was well made with good appliances. Pool and spa we're wonderful as was the beach and the view from the balcony.
Very good location. Friendly attentive staff. Nice clean room with good pillows and decent mattress. WiFi specific for our room! Plenty of channels on TV. The essentials (cutlery and dishes) stocked in kitchen. Great ocean view. So far so good!
