I actually had a very nice experience with Hertz-Rent-A-Car on a recent trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. I book my flight and rental through Spirit airlines to make it easy on myself. When i got to the counter I gave my name and confirmation number (the number was for my flight only). I was informed that I had no reservation in the system. I called Spirit and was unable to obtain any information as that department was closed (this was at 10:15 PM). The counter person, (Howard) heard my conversation and understood that this was not my fault. He rented be a very nice vehicle for a lot less then my original price. He couldn't have been more helpful. It was a pleasure dealing with someone who understands the human side. I will definitely rent from Hertz again

When my flight got delayed and brought me in 30 minutes after all the rental companies closed, I noticed every other company stayed open to honor the reservations made by their customers except for hertz which is shown in the picture. I ended up having to stay in the airport overnight because I had a room reserved 2 hours away and all of the hotels were booked already. I talked to Pete the next morning and he said it doesn't matter since they close at 12 and did not seem to care about their poor customer service. Thanks Pete. I'll never use Hertz again.
We reserved a four door car and got to drive a Dodge Journey, which is a smaller SUV. We were impressed with this. I believe this is an upgrade, which I assume was due to not having a car available, but we were pleased with this. It was a great rental experience overall.
