Very clean, the shower was awesome with its additional settings and the internet was great did not have to pay for another computer. The breakfast was normal for like hotels but the staff was very good and considerate and went above and beyond meeting our needs.
Prior to visiting the property on October 6th, I read the reviews and I was really skeptical. However I thought, how bad could it be, it's Best Western Plus. My husband said as long as the sheets are clean it doesn't matter because we would only go there to sleep. This wasn't the most inexpensive hotel in the area, however this was the hotel brand that I stay at when I am vacationing. The manager, Brenda, and her staff were Pleasant from the time I walked through the doors until the time I walked out when we checked out the following day. This was a very busy weekend as it was bike week as well as the seafood festival was in town. Although the lobby was busy, all staff remain positive Pleasant and appeared to enjoy their jobs. There was no construction going on. The rooms were not dirty or nasty. The moment I stepped off the elevator, I can smell the fresh clean scent. There was no odor in the rooms or the hallways. Yes there is only one elevator. However, we never waited more than 60 seconds. There's only three floors. How long of a wait could it have been. I will return to this Best Western Myrtle Beach on Kings Highway soon. Thank you to you Brenda and your staff.
We stayed one night. King bed room. We did not try the breakfast. The room was fair. The carpet was filthy!!! We stayed in late October so I would have hoped that they had shampooed after 'prime' season. I wore white socks during the evening ... they were black by the time I went to bed. Flat sheet had (I hope) stains. Should never have been put on the bed. All of the pillows were lumpy ... cheap. Shower stall was dirty. AC was fine, good sized flat screened TV. Average hotel. Not sure about the Plus ... I assume it has something to do with the breakfast.
We had some issues on our end with the Free Night Vouchers. But Barry is a super awesome Front Desk Agent who approached the situation with excellent professionalism and customer service. We will come back in the near future. We also recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Myrtle Beach!
Arrived at location after clearly booking a king room with jacuzzi. Arrived and they had me booked for a king pet room. Had to take a normal double room. Got to room everything was ok other than having to deal with the small bed. Upon waking up next morning noticed bed bugs in bed. Called for management but they were not there on Sunday. Suppose to call me back. If not I will be calling them. Not satisfied at all having to clean all my stuff and dealing with this issue.
