Wow where do I start I planned family time over the Christmas holiday. after arriving at the hotel and getting settled into the room 1604 we found that the pull out bed was in bad condition. the mattress was paper thin you could fell the metal hardware from the bed frame no one could sleep on that pull out bed comfortably. the next day which was Christmas reported the bed situation to the front desk they sent up a roll away bed the problem with that they didn't supply us with any sheets or comforter but what's even better than that during our three days stay we could not get any fresh bed linen they ran our we were promised they would send some to the room. never happened and when we would go to the front desk they didn't have any not cool and to add to the misery we didn't received any kind of housekeeping. this has to be the worst stay at any hotel in my life. front desk personnel promised a refund for the lack of housekeeping well that never this is called the pass afire trick keep me quite and send me on my way, the funny part is that we forgot a brand new fishing rod in the room called backed once again the front desk making promise that they don't plan on keeping. what the told us that they would check with housekeeping to see if they had found it really housekeeping the service that never came during our stay to think they would clean the room after we left of course we never did hear back tried to call another time the front desk transfer me over to housekeeping no one picked up amazing.
It was a nice and clean condo. It would have been great if we didn't see small roaches in the evenings. Would have told the front desk but we were sure every condo was the same. We also didn't want the condo sprayed while we were staying. The place was very clean. No food was left but roaches can find a crumb. We keep all our food in the fridge while we stayed. Otherwise everything was very nice. We would stay again but would check to see if they have sprayed recently.
I didn't like the layout of the room, the bedroom is by the walkway outside leading to all rooms. Lots of noise to be heard during the night and early morning from foot traffic and house keeping. I would like to add that I did call the front desk about the noise from A party 2 doors down and they immediately came up and resolved the situation. I would definitely go back in the winter months but maybe not so much in the Summer. Not the worst place by far that I have stayed would get a five if the bedroom was on Oceanside.
Overall a Great visit! Room nice and clean, Friendly Staff and Knowledgeable.
I would not recommend Camelot By the Sea for the following reasons. We checked in on Friday, and had no housekeeping the entire weekend, and also again on the following Friday! We literally had to go to the front desk to get towels. The housekeeping staff was definitely not efficient!
Very clean room with beautiful view. Can't think of a single problem. Extremely nice staff that checked us in with plenty of information to offer. Ready for our next stay.
Also, the hotel is in desperate need of remodeling! The furniture is really outdated and not comfortable at all, the beds were horrendous! The pools, and lazy river were just OK at best! To really put the icing on the cake, our car was in a hit and run incident while parked in the garage! Security footage was to be observed, but we have not heard from the staff as of this review. So needless to say, it was our first and last stay there.
