Indoor and outdoor pool and hot tubs but not a lot and no lazy river or kids water play area, if those things are important to you.
DO NOT STAY HERE! We got a great price for this hotel & were really excited about it, but found out it was too good to be true. Got up to the room & opened the door, roaches scurried as soon as we turned the lights on. Luckily we never even unloaded our luggage off the cart. We immediately left the room & checked right out. The woman at the front desk was understanding & refunded our money, but admitted that they have a problem & have been trying to take care of it. Consider yourself warned. If you stay here, you might get more than you bargained for! One star rating only because they refunded my credit card with no problems.
First visit to this location. Been around for a while but not run down. Great off-season pricing. Rooms pretty much identical, as we found out because we had to change a couple of times because we unfortunately stayed while they were doing maintenance that week on the type of room we chose. The situation was a little irritating and if it wasn't for the staff working so hard to take care of us to make up for it, there is no way this would have been a good rating.
We decided to try a new resort to stay at during the Thanksgiving week and we settled for Ocean Park Resort. The housekeepers are amazing! Very friendly and cheerful. The potty area for our dog was turf, but not a big deal. Our room at Ocean Park was a little dated and we did notice a few roaches in the room. It was great to have a fully furnished kitchen with a stove top and oven. I believe the 20 pound weight limit is a little relaxed at the resort since we seen several dogs that were well over the 20 pound weight limit. Only issues we had were the elevators when checking out on Sunday and calls from the lobby threatening to kick us out/fine us if caught smoking. Sunday was a busy time since several families were checking in/out, but the elevators would constantly miss our floor on the way up leaving the elevator full when attempting to pick us up on the way back to the lobby. Additionally, someone was smoking on our floor and instead of investigating to see which room had the smokers, we get a call from the lobby threatening that if we are caught smoking we will be charged $150 and kicked out of the hotel. None of us smoke so I felt that was unprofessional of the lobby staff.
We are here now and the hotel is really a great pet friendly hotel. The hotel is overall clean, it is just an older hotel. I do believe the room cleaning staff is lacking or under staffed at this time. There was still food in the refrigerator when we checked in to our room and the floor was not swept. They were redoing our balcony and we were not told when we booked the weekend, which was a little aggravating but I understand these things have to be done. I just wish they would have communicated this before we booked this weekend. We love the close beach access, the pool and the friendliness of the staff and will recommend the Ocean Park Resort for anyone traveling with a small dog or just wanting a place to stay.
I enjoyed my stay in Room 504, my room was very clean (despite a few rusting in some areas). The night front desk clerk (older male) didn't understand the specific room I was looking for but 504 managed to get the job done. I love the full kitchen,washer and dryer units and spacious living room; My most favorite part of my stay was waking up and meeting the Sun across the Ocean in the mornings. I disagree with the hotel being pet friendly and not having continental breakfast.. but I would indeed stay here again. My money was well spent for the weekend of my sister's wedding!
Fresh management in place working to get everything top notch. Our interactions with the staff beat a lot of the other places we've stayed at there in the past.
Most folks don't really use the kitchen but we do. Nice to have full size stove and fridge. Not happy about the sink. It is about the size of a bar sink and no dishwasher.
