We enjoyed our stay with my family. Nice room. Staff is OK. Not too friendly but oh well. Really close to the beach
Only reason I'm giving it two stars is because of Connie at the front desk. She deserves to be part of management. The rest of the staff is rude and doesn't do anything even after asking multiple times. Housekeeping didn't even bother to clean our room even though we requested it multiple times. Hotel had a good location but that's about it. The elevator smell bad and took way too long. Furniture needs to be updated. It would be a nice hotel if people actually did their part keeping it up with it but the staff isn't friendly at all. Only positive thing about my stay was the constant help Connie at the front desk gave us.
Very Good and Inexpensive Vacation
My experience was very good. Staff and manager were always polite, flexible and immediately helpful in addressing any concern with action. Room was fine (don't expect luxury, but everything was more than decent, or nice) and the oceanfront balcony was a delight. Lazy river, indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub all were relaxing. Walking distance to numerous restaurants and food stores was very convenient. Being right on the ocean allowed me to wake up and just go in the ocean or take a brief walk on the beach at night under the stars before sleeping.
Been staying here for 15 years and every time Me and my family come we stay here, rooms are clean and newly renovted and front desk staff is always helpful and pools are always cleaned every morning
Older hotel, but it was clean. Some coffee and cups for the coffee pot would have earned the extra star...but the staff was friendly and very helpful, and the location was great! Did I mention the amazing view!? We had a wonderful stay, we'll definitely be back.

I wanted to do an inexpensive vacation at Myrtle Beach in October(10/10 - 10/22/17). I noted Sandcastle Oceanfront at the Pavilion but had some doubts about its lower number of stars and the particular details of the less favorable reviews. I went with two alternate hotels ready as backups and was prepared to pay 50-75% more if needed.
