I had shoulder pain from years of abuse, Dr. Mikol was a truly seasoned orthopaedic doctor, he knew where my pain was located before touching my skin! he gave me a shot and told me that it will feel better before i left the office! As i sat in my car getting ready to back out, I was like WOW i can't believe it! i don't have any pain! WAY TO GO DR. MIKOL you are truly an amazing Doctor that the community can Trust! IF YOU ARE FROM THE N.Y. Metro area and need a Real Ortho, THIS IS THE DOCTOR FOR YOU!!! Carolina Orthopedics AAAAA++++++
The staff working there are nice. The doctor Edward Mikal was not. I'm young so I feel like he was pre judging me before I even opened my mouth. He asked me about my knee and I was desribing how it felt, and I said it feels like there is fluidy feeling around my knee. He looked at me stupid and said I don't know what you mean. I said I guess it's swollen and he says well it doesn't look swollen and did not have a bit of sympathy for me. He suggested an (expensive) MRI before he even touched my knee. Then after I was telling him that me having being diagnosed with scoliosis could be putting more pressure on my knee. He was like so you think you have scoliosis? I said I don't think, I know. Just start to finish he was not a caring person at all. The best he could say to me was "hang in there"

I have never met a more arrogant, rude doctor who clearly enjoys insulting women judging by the numerous people who have reached out to me. I actually walked out of the appointment. He spoke to me like I was a child despite me being a 50 year old woman with several degrees. I will never go back to him and hope he doesn't destroy any other women's self-esteem with his nasty comments.
